Extruder Operator

Staffmark is hiring an Extruder Operator in Belmont, NC! As an Extruder Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth production by setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machines. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Pay & Schedule

• $20-$24/hr (based on experience)
• Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machines to meet product specifications
• Monitor and adjust the extrusion process to maintain consistent quality
• Inspect machinery and materials regularly to detect and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform routine maintenance
• Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies
• Work closely with team members and other departments to meet production goals
• Follow all company policies and safety standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plastics manufacturing preferred
• Previous experience as an Extruder Operator or in a similar role within plastics manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of extrusion processes and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team mindset
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Proficiency in production procedures and company policies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills
• Experience in plastics extrusion operations
