Maintenance Mechanic

Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in North Kingstown, RI! This role is perfect for a skilled mechanic looking to grow in a supportive manufacturing environment while keeping production running smoothly.

Pay & Schedule

• $24.25 - $31.00/hour (based on experience)
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
• Overtime as needed on Fridays

What You'll Do

• Repair and maintain production machines to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Order and manage replacement parts to reduce repair delays
• Assist in creating and documenting preventative maintenance programs
• Support design and fabrication of custom equipment and fixtures
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Safety, and Materials teams
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues
• Provide detailed reports on completed repairs and shift activities
• Promote and adhere to all workplace safety standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical program preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role
• Strong ability to read/interpret electrical schematics
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Forklift operation experience required
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems; assembly line experience preferred
• Machine shop experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. using proper techniques
• Comfortable with physical demands such as standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
