We are recruiting a strategic and hands on Controller for a growing manufacturing company in the RTP area to lead Regional accounting operations. This role sits at the center of a dynamic finance function, with ongoing transformation initiatives, high-impact M&A activity, and new system implementations underway. The Controller will oversee technical accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and operational accounting for a complex, fast-evolving business. Key Responsibilities: Lead all Regional accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and regulatory reporting in compliance with IFRS and internal policies Serve as primary point of contact between Region and global finance functions (Controllership, FP&A, Commercial Finance) Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, controls, and systems to support scale and future acquisitions Support the implementation of enterprise tools Manage and mentor a team of direct reports and broader regional accounting staff Oversee internal and external audit processes, including coordination with third-party lenders and auditors Evaluate complex accounting issues and draft technical accounting memos as needed Partner cross-functionally with operations, systems, and commercial leadership to support strategic initiatives and integrations Contribute to post-acquisition integration activities and financial readiness for new business units Qualifications: CPA and/or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance required Experience operating within a large, complex, and growing manufacturing organization with international operations and multiple sites is required 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and leadership roles within industry is ideal Strong knowledge of IFRS is required as is exposure to US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley controls Proven track record of leading accounting teams and mentoring talent Demonstrated success in environments undergoing finance transformation, M&A integration, or ERP implementations Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
