Job Description Summary:
- Provides technical expertise and support for planning, developing, organizing, and coordinating aviation security compliance programs/projects associated with the Global Screening Initiative (GSI), researches, evaluates, and recommendes new methodologies, processes, procedures, and products to achieve major strategic and innovative improvements, and participates in meetings and provides compliance briefings to management. Provides regional support and in-depth customer account research, risk analysis of shipment movement and facility processes.
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical expertise and support for planning, developing, organizing and coordinating aviation security compliance programs/projects associated with the Global Screening Initiative (GSI).
- Researches, evaluates and recommends new methodologies, processes, procedures and products to achieve major strategic and innovative improvements.
- Provides quality control and daily assessments of aviation security needs and provides immediate actions, when necessary.
- Monitors aviation security processes, as required by internal standards and governing regulations using continuous analysis and surveillance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related security/business field.
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years aviation security or related aviation regulatory/audit and/or technical experience.
- Ability to complete required training programs.
- Must have general office skills and proficient in data entry, word processing/reporting and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills, human relations, organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of FedEx policy and procedures relating to regulatory, aviation security, etc., required.
- Ability to successfully complete required training programs.
- Clerical experience including typing and/or general office administration duties required.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to type 25 wpm.
- Expected to perform all other related duties as assigned and ability to successfully complete QDM training to the level of Practitioner.
