Brief Description:

The IST Manager, Medical Affairs Operations, will support the Medical Affairs IST team in coordinating activities essential to the timely execution of the US Investigator-Sponsored Trials (IST) program led by Medical Affairs.

Essential Job Functions:

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Support the operations of the US Investigator Sponsored Trials program for some of Jazz Pharmaceuticals therapeutic areas (currently Oncology and sleep). This includes but is not limited to:
    • Scheduling meetings and keeping track of the progress and outcomes of several ISTs while continuously providing updates to stakeholders
    • Support in the tracking of contracts, invoices, and payments and ensure timely processing
    • Facilitating drug supply to study sites.
    • Maintaining continuous communications with MSLs in the field in support of ISTs in their territory.
    • Tracking study progress, patient enrollment and study publications
    • Entering data into various databases and Excel to track progress of studies
  • Stay current on Jazz Pharmaceuticals SOPs and Medical Affairs Best Practices
  • From time to time assist with the execution of other Medical Affairs projects.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in related field. A business degree, such as an MBA or Masters in business-related area, is highly desirable.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience

First-hand experience in operations and resource management

Excellent communication and time management skills

Strong business judgment and acumen

Analytical and problem solving skills

Operational capabilities

Ability to perform under pressure and deadlines

Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Experience managing project budgets and work plans

Proficiency with ISTs related database preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Description of Physical Demands:

Occasional mobility within office environment

Routinely sitting for extended periods of time

Constantly operating a computer, printer, telephone and other similar office machinery

Description of Work Environment:

Work indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes

Frequent computer use at workstation

May move from one work location to another occasionally

Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of "normal" work hours, in order to meet business demands

Occasional public contact requiring appropriate business apparel

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $118,400.00 - $177,600.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
