Job Title: Python Developer - Robotics & Industrial Automation Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Recycling Operations & Automation Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with proven expertise in machine learning, computer vision, and industrial automation. This role focuses on optimizing robotic systems and developing user interfaces for advanced material extraction processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating software with industrial hardware and a passion for sustainability-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for industrial automation systems in a Mac environment. * Build and optimize robotic automation software using Python and C++. * Implement machine learning algorithms to enhance robotic decision-making and performance. * Develop and maintain software packages and user interfaces for robotic systems. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve material extraction efficiency. * Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance evaluations. * Integrate PLC programs with Python scripting for seamless control. * Work with industrial sensors, robots, and vision systems. * Ensure robust hardware/software integration and system reliability. Required Qualifications: * 4-6 years of software engineering experience. * Strong proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of C++. * Demonstrated experience in computer vision and image processing. * Familiarity with API development and IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things). * Hands-on development in Linux/Unix-like operating systems. * Knowledge of industrial protocols, especially OPC-UA. * Proven track record in production environments with testing and deployment best practices. Preferred Skills: * Experience with code deployment and review processes. * Exposure to sustainability-focused automation or recycling technologies. * Familiarity with robotic extraction systems and industrial controls.
