Description

The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty to support the Davis College's academic School of Agriculture and Food Systems. Appointments are on a semester-by-semester basis with varying instructional needs depending on course enrollments and faculty availability. Position will begin January 2026.

The College's mission is rooted in the land-grant tradition-preparing students for impactful careers, advancing knowledge through research and innovation, and serving the people of West Virginia and beyond. Davis College faculty and students address global and regional challenges in agriculture, food security, environmental sustainability, community design, animal and human health, and natural resource stewardship.

Qualifications
  • A graduate degree relevant to the course(s) taught is required at the time of appointment; a doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and teach undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • Experience with student-centered instruction, inclusive pedagogy, and/or experiential learning approaches is desirable.
  • Professional experience in applied settings relevant to the course(s) taught (e.g., agriculture, design, education, natural resources, industry) is preferred.
