Essential Job Duties |
- Temporary Project Oct 2025 to April or May 2026
- Provides research and technical assistance in carrying out research for program evaluation.
- Assists in conducting research studies with the work activities being highly sensitive and confidential which are technically complex and therefore require expert application of sophisticated programmatic procedures.
- Conduct a systematic and objective inquiry including study design, methods of data/information collection and analysis, and interpreting and reporting results using appropriate statistics, methods along with related information technology; database storage and management.
- Coordinate major analyses of data collected for a variety of descriptive and evaluative outcomes research.
- Data collection and processing procedures as well as other related activities concerning data presentation and collection methods.
- Work on analyses activities, along with manual and electronic data processing systems in gathering, storing, retrieving, and analyzing data.
- Management of large databases which include significant merging and combining of data from multiple source databases.
- Quality control of all data collection processes. Monitors, collects, and maintains research data/information to assess accuracy, validity, and integrity.
- Maintain proficiency in all analyses procedures and software packages and interpret findings for clients and data users at all policy levels.
- Writing reports describing the methodology.
- Provide documentation and research reports to clients.

Other Work/Responsibilities |
- Keep up to date on SAS, SAS EG, and other data collection, editing, scanning and analysis software. Coordinate data collection activities.
- Document coding and create data entry procedures.
- Clean all data and write SAS code to run data statewide data analyses as required by the client. Develop analysis procedures in SAS to ensure accuracy and serve as quality control measures. Manage all data needed for client reports, write and distribute such reports.
- Design instruments needed in the field for data collection and coordinate this process with clients. Provide written documentation of recommendations to clients regarding technical and data issues when requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience/Education |

Department Required Skills |
- Experience with survey research principles/research.
- Experience with online data collection systems;
- Experience in database management and web submission of data.
- Proficient in variety of data collection procedures and highly competent programming with SAS, Knowledge of Access, Excel, HTML, and Word.
- Ability to develop data gathering techniques and sampling schemes.
- Ability to clean and submit data to appropriate organizations.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Prefer Master's degree in social science with two years of extensive experience with research and evaluation projects
. Experience in developing and/or creating research reports that are technical in nature. Experience coordinating data collection activities. Experience conducting appropriate statistical analysis and present findings through written reports, charts, and graphics. |
