POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance & Energy Manager manages maintenance/energy management programs for all FedEx Office branches. The position also manages vendors, processes, and procedures. The role provides the best combination of quality, price, delivery, and service for FedEx Office branch locations by analyzing, recommending, and implementing maintenance contracts to best support the branches.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team by training, developing, and coaching team members on a consistent basis
  • Develop and manage repair and maintenance expense budget for all FedEx Office branches
  • Develop and maintain inter-departmental procedures and synergies to provide the most efficient and best customer service
  • Manage maintenance and energy capital projects to include scope definition, bidding, contract management, project closeout and budget reconciliation
  • Partner with other departments (Real Estate, Lease Admin, Construction, Operations) on maintenance and warranty issues that can be avoided or need further investigation
  • Identify and evaluate problems relating to equipment failure, malfunction, or misuse so that appropriate action can be taken to minimize expenses
  • Manage the performance of MyFSN to maximize its features for use in FedEx Office branches
  • Troubleshoot and expedite maintenance requests
  • Develop and maintain systems/procedures for responding to emergency situations during non-business hours
  • Coordinate with branch personnel on repair and preventative maintenance scheduling and follow up on repair inquires received
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards (materials, techniques) and continue to explore methods which reduces maintenance/energy costs
  • Manage the performance of maintenance vendors to meet or exceed FedEx Office expectations and initiate/recommend corrective actions to improve performance, when necessary
  • Develop, update, and maintain all maintenance programs and schedules
  • Establish required maintenance programs and develop proper procedures for execution
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years maintenance/energy management experience
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • Prior experience with bid management
  • Strong vendor negotiation skills
  • Posses a working knowledge of repair/maintenance/energy management concepts for a variety of building components, including, but not limited to HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, signage, fire extinguishers, floor care, emergency fire protection systems

  • Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities

  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to work within the appropriate level of independence
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
