What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Sr. Architectural Project Manager to join our office in Dallas, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model or can be remote in our Houston office. Explore some of our signature architecture projects. GFT is currently seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join the Architectural Practice in either Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and exposure to a wide variety of public and private sector projects, including but not limited to public transportation, multifamily, K-12 education, higher education, civic, military, industrial, and public works. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Project Coordination: Lead and manage project coordination between different disciplines, including architecture, engineering, and construction.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to the project team, ensuring that construction documents are accurate, complete, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Client Interaction: Client interaction and Primary Point of Contact, addressing their concerns and ensuring that their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Construction Documentation: Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Quality Control: Enforce quality control measures to ensure that the design and documentation meet the company's standards.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in architecture and project management.
- Schedule and Budget Management: Assist in managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that the design and documentation comply with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Construction Administration: Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and coordinating with contractors.
- Design Review: Lead or participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve the project's design and functionality.
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
- 5-year Bachelor's degree in Architecture and/or 15 years' related overall minimum experience
- Ideal candidate must be dynamic, creative, problem solving and detail oriented
- Working knowledge of current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and knowledge of related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE etc.
- Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
- Path to licensure is a plus
Compensation: The range for this position is salary range is $90,000 - $120,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits:
