The Revenue Accounting Supervisor will help lead a team which ensures appropriate revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements including software, SaaS, and services, and provide timely and accurate visibility into Ping's revenue. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, this position works cross-functionally with the Sales Ops, Sales, Professional Service, and Legal teams.

You will:



  • Review multi-element contract arrangements to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including reviewing and reconciling revenue related general ledger accounts.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the Company, its products and services, its markets and its internal organization in order to understand financial results.
  • Coordinate with the technical accounting in supporting and verifying revenue recognition treatment of non-standard terms.
  • Collaborate with the broader accounting team and assist with general ledger, financial reporting, and miscellaneous accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Work with external auditors to provide appropriate documentation and explanations for revenue-related audit requests.
  • Develop and support relationships with business partners across various company organizations as a trusted business advisor.
  • Drive continuous system enhancements with Sales Operations, Product and Technical Operations as it relates to all orders to cash processes to improve efficiencies and ensure scalability.
  • Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
  • Lead and/or execute ad-hoc revenue projects.


You have:



  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
  • Excellent research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (can perform complex functions and maintain complex spreadsheets).


You have an advantage if:



  • CPA certification or working towards licensure.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite as an ERP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and a collaborative spirit.


Salary Range: $100,000 - $107,000

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
