Business Development Officer - International Services

Overview

To assist the International Branch in achieving deposit and loan growth and profitability goals by effectively implementing an individual marketing and business development plan. The incumbent focuses on the acquisition of new deposit and loan relationships, business services (such as merchant card, business online banking) and Treasury Management products.) The position of the Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for attaining established individual, area/department and Bank goals through the active participation in sales management and calling programs. This position is a high customer contact position.


Responsibilities

  • Sales - Achieves role-specific financial, production, and relationship results in alignment with community needs and diverse lending objectives. Develops and implements an individual sales & service activities plan that facilitates team goals. Supports Bank initiatives, leverages tools, and seeks coaching to proactively enhance sales performance. Develops holistic client relationships through partner engagement and a relationship sales approach, utilizing customer-centric conversations to uncover opportunities. May represent the Bank at civic and community events to support Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategies and business growth.
  • Service & Sales Support and Referrals - Demonstrates high service standards of accuracy, responsiveness, courtesy, partnership, and responsibility, and ensures daily activities create value for both the client and the Bank. Consults with clients to understand their financial needs. Recommends solutions from the Bank's offered products and services, or refers to branch and specialty partners as appropriate. Identifies tools or methods to enhance personal service and referral performance. Facilitates sales efforts by preparing call materials, scheduling appointments, and performing other support tasks as needed.
  • Operations and Administration - Accountable to accuracy, efficiency, and workload results in taking deposits as defined by the Operational Scorecard, which may require individual contribution as well as team performance. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, Bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities. Manages risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures. Performs general office management duties as needed to facilitate daily operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Outside/Direct Sales in Banking or Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Outside/Direct Sales in Banking or Financial Services

License or Certification Type: Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.
