What to Expect

Join the Generative AI Platform Engineeringteam at Tesla, where we pioneer technological excellence and innovation to power the future. In this role, you will design and develop in-house tools to manage and monitor Tesla's global infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across virtual machines (VMs), Kubernetes, bare metal, and edge computing platforms. You will build advanced AI tools and intelligent agents to automate user query resolution, streamline configuration edits, and enhance efficiency and user experience. You will tackle complex infrastructure challenges at scale by creating innovative software solutions, while developing shared frameworks for AI agent deployment. Additionally, you will design processes to handle large-scale data volumes and extract actionable insights to drive analytical decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems in diverse environments and contribute to cutting-edge solutions that redefine infrastructure management for a sustainable, high-performance world.


What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business processes and infrastructure needs, translating insights into scalable software solutions and creating intuitive wrappers for easier infrastructure setup
  • Design software with a focus on observability and monitoring, providing high-level insights into infrastructure status for informed decision-making
  • Research and integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies for AI agents, continuously improving architecture to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Develop code generation tools to automate boilerplate code and documentation, streamlining development and enhancing productivity

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 8 years of professional programming experience
  • Expertise in Golang
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with gRPC services and/or open-source AI agent frameworks is a plus
