Job Description

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and looking to make a direct impact on operational success? We're seeking a Purchasing Administrator to manage, review, and optimize vendor and customer orders. This role is crucial to mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and maximizing profitability through strategic contract execution.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities



  • Accurately process all customer and vendor orders in a timely manner
  • Review and interpret customer purchase orders and associated terms and conditions
  • Analyze vendor proposals and contract terms for alignment with company requirements
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve any conflicts between purchase orders and proposals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Monitor order progress and follow up to ensure timely delivery
  • Manage and set clear expectations with customers regarding lead times and delivery schedules
  • Evaluate current inventory levels when processing orders to optimize fulfillment
  • Communicate effectively-both verbally and in writing-with internal teams, vendors, and customers
  • Support initiatives to improve contract processes, risk management, and cost efficiency



What You Bring?



  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Administrator or similar role in procurement, supply chain, or operations
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and the confidence to resolve contract discrepancies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external collaboration
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts is a plus, but not required
