Scheduling Coordinator - Orthopedics- Days Eligible for Full-Time Benefits Shift: Days GENERAL SUMMARY: The Scheduling Coordinator will coordinate and schedule surgeries, post-op appointments, surgical clearances, pre-admission testing, procedures, diagnostic testing, and referrals. In addition, this person will obtain insurance authorizations and provide patient education This posting represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and duties. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from high school or equivalent.? Experience in a clinical or health care setting Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service and observance of organization protocol Ability to maintain team-orientated relationships with managers, physicians, and other clinical staff. Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and suggest strategies to address and/or improve those issues. Highly organized and meticulous about details. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Solid understanding and knowledge of medical terminology Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two years of scheduling experience NextGen experience Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, ICD10 codes CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: None Additional Information
