Drives vehicle (truck, van, or car), to transport articles such as personnel, medical supplies, lab specimens, equipment, laundry, building materials, furniture, fixtures, trash, and similar materials. Clean vehicles as time permits. Direct the workflow of department per department standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2. Current WV driver license, maintain a driving record with less than 6 points, and meet policy guidelines for driver. EXPERIENCE: 1. Two (2) years of courier experience OR Six (6) months courier experience AND one (1) year leadership/supervisory experience. Uses hospital vehicles to make daily deliveries and pickups according to established schedule. 2. Operates vehicles in a safe, respectable manner. 3. Maintains the vehicle by washing, interior cleaning, fueling, and checking fluids on a regular basis per established schedule. 4. Maintains a safe driving record as evidenced by having no accident reports filed. 5. Trains new couriers on job duties and work procedures to ensure optimal job performance per department standards. 6. Communicate effectively with couriers all information needed to complete department duties per department standards. Visual acuity must be unimpaired. Must possess excellent all weather driving skills. 4. Must find locations based on address using GPS. 5. Ability to locate off-site locations and complete off-site assignments.
