Pay Range

USD $137,988.00 - USD $172,485.00 /Yr.

Work Schedule Description (e.g. M-F 8am to 5pm)

M-F 8AM-5 PM CT and additional hours as business requires

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Software Development to join our IT Development department!

We are seeking a well-established and dynamic industry leader as a Director of Software Development to champion and lead software development and deliver quality results for our organization.
The Director, Software Development is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the software development team, which is evolving legacy applications into modern, supportable applications. This thought leader must also be proficient in Agile practices as they will be collaborating to achieve outstanding customer experience, resulting in positive, on-time and within budget organizational outcomes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities are summarized below but are not limited to the following areas.
* Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
* Foster a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring.
* Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and the Navitus Enterprise Project Management Office.
* Build strong relationships with the application business owners to deliver software that meets our internal and external customers' needs.
* Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development.
* Develop and maintain an accountable department that delivers high-quality code.
* Stay current with modern software development technology, including Artificial Intelligence, to establish and evolve the software development strategy.
* Establish and deliver KPI's and metrics for managing and reporting performance.
* Communicate the progress and status of all development teams to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or information systems, or other relevant technical field of study, preferred.

Experience:
1. 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.

2. Experience with cloud first development and microservice architectures and or strategies
3. Experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to make development organizations more efficient and accurate in their delivery.
4. Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
5. Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
6. Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.
7. Experience with projects requiring the development of advanced automation testing frameworks and various performance testing methodologies.
8. Experience managing measurable success in delivering quality software that meets the business needs using agile methodologies.

9. Experience with modern technologies, architectures and agile development methods
