What to Expect The Remanufacturing Engineering Technician reports to the Engineering Manager. They are responsible for determining the root failures of complex electromechanical assemblies, and repairing or remanufacturing those products to specification. This position will involve gaining an understanding of various components and their interaction within the vehicle. The RemanufacturingEngineering Technician analyzes components, equipment, test results, assembly methods, drawing prints, and electrical schematics to determine the true cause of a problem. Once a countermeasure is identified, they also work with the production staff and engineers to prevent further recurrences. Remanufacturing EngineeringTechnicians will also use hand tools, computer-based test equipment, and internal databases to analyze and repair product and subassemblies in an efficient manner. An equally important responsibility is to help reman production line with continuous improvements in, quality, safety, and efficiency as well as authoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing assembly instructions. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
