Summary:
The Sterile Processing Department Manager has 24-hour accountability for the provision of sterile processing on three campuses' to include Biddeford, Sanford, and Kennebunk sites. S/he is responsible for maintaining systems and procedures that will ensure quality patient care, promote cost effectiveness, educate and support competent practice in sterile processing. The Sterile Processing Department Manager's skills entail coaching, motivating and leading a professional team to provide safe and effective care of the patient. Includes quality and infection control, interpretation of policies and procedures, and counseling of employees

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associates degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as a surgical technologist/central service technician, or comparable life experiences and national certification eligibility preferred.
  3. Experience: Minimum of three years relevant Central Service/Operating Room experience required with two years experience at a Supervisory management level preferred.
  4. Strong interpersonal organizational skills required.
