Job Summary
Under the direction of the Loan Accounting Manager, lead and supervise a team of Loan Accounting Specialists and overseeing the transactions and balancing of transactions on Key's servicing system for all loan types. The Manager ensures compliance with regulatory, investor and internal policies while delivering exceptional service to internal and external clients.

Essential Functions

  • Report to the Loan Accounting Manager and perform the duties of the department Manager in his/her absence.
  • Supervise the daily activities of a team of Inv Accounting Specialists.
  • Ensure cash deposited via KeyCapture is posted timely and accurately. Resolve unidentified cash deposits within two business days.
  • Ensure Fed Wires and borrower initiated ACH's are posted timely and accurately. Resolve unidentified amounts within two business days.
  • Coordinate and assist with the completion of the daily cash balancing. Complete daily funds transfer requests to Loan Accounting related to new loan money, reallocation money and other money as required.
  • Ensure daily lockbox deposits are posted and processed in a timely fashion. Additionally, ensure lockbox rejects are researched, identified and posted within one business day.
  • Serve as liaison to Lockbox Operations Group in Cincinnati and McCraken ASP. Research lockbox processing issues identified by Account Managers, providing timely and accurate feedback.
  • Responsible for assisting and coordinating with the IT and Compliance Departments related to the updating of forms and templates utilized by Servicing as required.
  • Control checks and check stock. Ensure all checks are printed timely and accurately. Request to order new check stock as necessary.
  • Complete and maintain policy and procedures for the Department, updating as requested.
  • Hire and train new personnel as needed. Complete performance evaluations in accordance with guidelines established by the Loan Accounting Manager.
  • Be available for special projects as they arise.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate servicing experience. (required)

Skills

  • Experience with McCracken/Strategy and RECWeb systems for managing commercial real estate loans.
  • Ability to manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and ensure productivity across teams while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to supervise staff, provide training, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Understanding of legal principles related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Familiarity with underwriting standards and practices for commercial real estate loans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for internal collaboration and client interaction.
  • Ability to evaluate financial data, risk ratings, and operational performance.
  • Ability to assess property-level financials to support servicing decisions.
  • Ability to manage and grow client relationships and provide exceptional service to clients and rating agencies.

Physical Demands

    • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
