OverviewDo you want to play a role in frontier of work for the Microsoft Commercial and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) organization? If you are someone that enjoys running and driving excellence in business processes, we want the hear from you! In this role, you will own several services that underpin how we run the risk and compliance function for MCAPS, executing with excellence and driving innovations. The Compliance Process Manager within TrIP (Trust and Integrity Protection) team is responsible for ensuring that we close the loop on policy violations and managing the process to ensure that exceptions are reviewed and approved with the right checks and balances. They are also accountable for supporting our vendor operations, operating our oversight motion.
ResponsibilitiesKey impact areas:Infraction and consequence process owner: Ensuring the process operates, running weekly review meetings, tracking progress, owning decision matrix and driving action and metric oversight.Exception management: Intake and review of incoming exception requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy, preparing package of information to go to senior leadership for decision making.Vendor operations: Setting up and supporting vendor account creation and execution of regular performance meetings and supporting the preparation of contract documentation.Business Program Excellence and ExecutionWorks with others to evangelize programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy in. Leverages data and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs and KPIs) to demonstrate the value of the program and show business impact through storytelling and using scorecards and real time dashboards, with minimal guidance. Begins to adapt communication style and storytelling strategy according to audience and business needs.Collaborates to define and execute on a landing and communication plan (e.g., target audience(s), communication strategy) informed by Microsoft's security principles. Begins to maintain the rhythm of business (ROB) during plan execution to ensure participants and stakeholders are communicating and responding according to the necessary cadence. Begins to independently work across teams (e.g., Landing, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical Program Management) to ensure all program requirements are understood and can be met.Business Program ManagementDemonstrates an understanding of mapping or how systems work and impact one another using process flow mapping tools. Collaborates with others who work with other teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales) and stakeholders to ensure program processes are rigorous, informed by security principles and executed efficiently. Helps develop processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs, and communicates it to stakeholders.Assists others who overlook a portfolio of projects including the project plan, documentation of roles and responsibilities (e.g., responsible, accountable, consulted, informed [RACI] framework), timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for programs. Communicates the program status to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans and processes, with minimal guidance.Business Program Planning and DesignSupports and contributes to defining and tracking the success criteria (e.g., return on investment [ROI], service level agreements [SLAs], objectives and key results [OKRs] and key performance indicators [KPIs]) and performance metrics (e.g., quality, adoption, usage, impact, effectiveness) for the program, and identifying which data will result in data-driven decision making.Identifies internal opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones, with minimal guidance. Collaborates with others to identify root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), define the program strategy, gather program requirements, establish and maintain alignment with stakeholders/leaders, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record. Begins to improve operations of existing programs by identifying appropriate methodologies and best practices, defining and diagnosing program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues. Drives clarity in program issues and strives for simplification. Ensures security principles are incorporated into all planning processes, with minimal guidance.Supports and contributes to performing program landscape research and analysis (e.g., internal and/or external market, sales, delivery), forecasting, and examining business insights and trends (e.g., customer feedback and expectations) to identify stakeholders and program scope, and stay current, agile, and competitive. Collaborates with others to understand overall business goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as short-and long-term business priorities (e.g., artificial intelligence [AI], security, efficiency, quality). Understands and identifies current program risks, impact, and mitigation plans, in collaboration with others.Works with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design security-, privacy-, and other regulatorily-compliant programs from initiation to delivery, with guidance. Collaborates to produce collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.
