Position Title: Welder

Wage: $23-$28.50/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3pm-1am

QPS is looking for experienced Welders who are passionate about precision and craftsmanship. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Waukesha, WI.

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform MIG, TIG, SMAW, and/or FCAW welding on structural steel, plate, and tubing components

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications

- Fit, assemble, and weld steel components for platforms, lifts, and other fabricated structures

- Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure weld integrity and dimensional accuracy

- Operate shop equipment safely, including grinders, saws, lifts, and hoists

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety protocols

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on schedule

- Assist with layout, cutting, and material handling as needed

- Follow all company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and training

Welder Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 2-5 years of welding and fabrication experience

- Proficient in MIG, TIG, SMAW, and/or FCAW welding techniques

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

- Experience with structural steel, plate, and tubular assemblies

- Knowledge of proper welding and fabrication safety procedures

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced shop environment

- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy components as required

- Welding certification (AWS D1.1 or equivalent) preferred

- Experience with industrial platforms, lifts, or material handling equipment fabrication preferred

- Experience with grinders, saws, lifts, and hoists preferred

- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience in a welding environment preferred
