Internal Job Opportunity: Assistant Operator

Location: Plymouth, IN
Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, Rotating Weekends

Are you ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career? We're looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined team member to join us as an Assistant Operator. This is a great opportunity to build your skills, contribute to a high-performing team, and grow within our organization.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting the Operator to ensure our production lines run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You'll help maintain quality standards, minimize waste, and keep operations flowing. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with machine setup and operation
• Performing quality checks (length/width, vacuum tests, micrometer readings)
• Operating forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles
• Supporting housekeeping and maintenance tasks
• Collaborating with team members across shifts to ensure smooth transitions
• Helping troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in manufacturing or warehouse environments
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
• A team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-airconditioned environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Bonus points if you have experience with SAP or similar ERP systems!

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Stable work history
• Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed
