UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Clinical Faculty Endoscopist to join our Gastroenterology team. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive gastroenterology services for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, contributing to high-quality patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to:

    • Upper GI endoscopy

    • Push-enteroscopy

    • Colonoscopy

    • Sigmoidoscopy

    • Therapeutic endoscopy procedures

  • Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders, utilizing clinical expertise to guide treatment plans.

  • Collaborate closely with residents, fellows, clinical nurses, and advanced practitioners to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

  • Participate in educational activities involving trainees and contribute to the academic mission of the department.

  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and institutional policies to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Gastroenterology.

  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration.

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
