Supervisor Maintenance-Plant Ops Other-Full Time

Summary:

Supervises personnel responsible for the functioning or fixing of equipment by preventive maintenance and inspection. Prioritizes work orders; plans, schedules, coordinates and assigns work. Plans and organizes the purchase of all necessary materials, parts, and components required for work orders. Ensures compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), state standards and organization policy. Responsible for the safety and training of maintenance staff.

Responsibilities:

* Supervises and directs assigned staff to include interviewing and hiring new staff, evaluating work performance, counseling and disciplining
* Develops weekly assignments
* Reviews all requested assignments and routine maintenance needs
* Places priority to each job and distributes to each shop supervisor, discussing areas of need to ensure open communication with staff and ensuring repairs/maintenance is completed in a timely manner
* Reviews assignments
* Checks each assignment for time and cost considerations
* Ensures supplies and all pertinent information needed to perform job are available
* Job inspection
* Inspects work done to see that it meets code and workmanship standards
* Checks to see that jobs are completed on schedule and staff and supplies are used efficiently
* Make general repairs
* Supervises and performs a variety of skilled to semi-skilled maintenance duties, such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
* Carries out routine maintenance
* Supervises and performs a variety of routine maintenance duties such as replacing lamps, cleaning sinks or assembling equipment
* Performs routine manual duties
* Supervises and performs a variety of routine manual duties such as moving furniture, removing trash and handling supplies

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
