Preconstruction Manager

Located in Milwaukee, WI, Greenfire Management Services, LLC (GMS), is one of Southeastern Wisconsin's fastest growing firms. Founded in 2010, Greenfire is a wholly-owned company of Potawatomi Ventures, the investment arm of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, and as such, maintains minority contractor status. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead preconstruction efforts from project pursuit through transition to construction.
- Maintain and develop client and subcontractor relationships through delivery of preconstruction services.
- Assemble site logistics plans, project schedules, and general conditions estimates.
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids, ensuring competitive and comprehensive pricing.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop accurate cost estimates across all building systems.
- Manage MEPFP coordination and ensure quality control throughout preconstruction phases.
- Maintain historical cost and schedule databases to inform future estimates and decisions.
INTERDEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION
- Coordinate closely with project management teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
- Organize and lead project kick-off meetings, including agendas and minutes.
- Participate in client-facing preconstruction meetings to guide successful project delivery.
- Mentor and train preconstruction team members, fostering continuous improvement.
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience working for a construction manager or general contractor in a project management and/or estimating role; or a high school GED equivalent and a minimum of ten years of experience working for a construction manager or general contractor in a project management and/or estimating role. QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of construction systems, project management, scheduling, and cost estimating.
- Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, OST, BIM, Pantera, Destini Estimator) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
