Position Description

As the CFO, you will lead the financial strategy, planning, and operations of the business through preparation of financial reporting and forecasts, ensuring sound financial management in alliance with the company's goals.

Position Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning:

    • Partner with ownership and executive leadership to develop financial strategies that support sustainable, long-term business goals.
    • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
    • Work with the outside CPAs for successful financial audit and tax reporting.


  • Financial Oversight & Reporting:

    • Oversee all accounting, finance, and treasury functions.
    • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and analysis to inform decision-making.
    • Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, Health and Property & Casualty insurance providers, auditors, and external advisors.


  • Cost Management & Operational Support:

    • Drive cost-control initiatives and ensure proper accounting, especially in production, inventory, and distribution to drive informed decision making.
    • Work closely with operations and production teams to monitor operational performance and key cost drivers to improve efficiency and profitability.


  • Cash Flow & Capital Management:

    • Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the business remains financially healthy.
    • Provide recommendations on operational efficiency, capital allocation, and expansion opportunities.


  • Governance, Risk & Compliance:

    • Strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage financial risk.
    • Uphold the financial integrity of the company through disciplined practices.


  • Leadership & Team Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
    • Develop team capabilities to support evolving business needs.


  • Ownership Support & Succession Planning:

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the ownership group.
    • Help prepare the company for succession planning, personnel transitions, or potential new market opportunities.





Knowledge/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required
  • Minimum of 10 years financial leadership required
  • Accounting duties in a manufacturing environment, highly desirable
  • MBA or CPA, highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in accounting and costing software in addition to the full suite of Microsoft products
  • Proven background in negotiations, diplomacy, and customer relations
  • Experience in planning and risk management
