Lead Fire AlarmTechnician Location: Nashville, TN Category: Alarm / Security System Technician Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician to support the rebuild of its Nashville market and lead commercial voice, data, and fire alarm projects across the region. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled technician ready to take ownership of installations, mentor junior team members, and deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities * Lead installation and service of low voltage systems: Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom. * Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new systems. * Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Supervise and guide teams of 2-4 technicians on-site. * Communicate clearly with clients and project leads. * Perform inspections and ensure code compliance. * Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation. * Maintain accurate documentation and project reports. Must-Have Skills & Experience * 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, conduit installation, or low voltage systems. * Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams. * Proficient in reading blueprints and using hand tools (punch, snips, scissors). * Ability to work independently without direct supervision. * Technical expertise in: * Cat6 Cabling * Access Control * Fire Alarm Systems * Cable Installation Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with nurse call systems and intercoms. * Familiarity with lifts and ladders for elevated work. * Strong computer and troubleshooting skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
