Job Description Needing technicians in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding states. Travel is required, and per diem will be provided for travel days. Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience working with low-voltage systems. Those with relevant technical training or hands-on experience from schooling will also be considered Technicians will be responsible for: * Installing data racks/cabinets, Cat6 and COAX cables, faceplates * Testing and labeling cable installations * Assisting with setup of DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes in individual rooms * Building out server closets for network infrastructure * Performing work both indoors and outdoors in school and apartment buildings * Occasionally assisting with trenching and directional drilling Required Skills * Installation * Cat6 / Cat5 cabling * Punchdown * Wireless access points * CCTV & Security systems * Cable termination * Low voltage systems * Video setup Top Skills * Installation * Cat6 / Cat5 * Punchdown * Wireless access points * CCTV * Security * Cable termination * Low voltage * Video Additional Qualifications * Dependable and hardworking * Strong attention to detail * Motivated to grow professionally Experience Level * Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
