Illinois CancerCare is seeking a Scheduler Lead to join our team! The Scheduler Lead serves as a team leader for the scheduling staff, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure smooth daily operations within the assigned pod or clinic. Pay & Benefits
- Pay Range: $18.00 - $27.00/hour

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Serve as a resource for operational questions within assigned pod/clinic.
- Answer phones on a rotational basis.
- Train and re-train scheduling staff as needed.
- Review provider schedules daily for the upcoming month.
- Audit variance reports daily to ensure all charges are placed.
- Schedule appointments for providers and ensure patients receive all necessary information.
- Monitor and update the No-Show board for assigned pod/clinic.
- Assist with outstanding QCLs as needed.
- Audit petty cash counts weekly for pod/clinic.
- Provide desk coverage for PTO, FMLA, or call-ins.
- Cover lunches for assigned pod when needed.
- Travel to satellite clinics as needed.
- Maintain working knowledge and proficiency in scheduler duties.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Scheduling Supervisor.
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and Illinois CancerCare policies and procedures.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Involves contact with patients and public.
