Responsibilities Testing and consulting services for the built environment: property/facility condition assessments, facility needs assessments, pre- & post-construction surveys, and accessibility assessments, among other facilities-related services Requires a commitment to lead and mentor a team of facilities due diligence engineers, architects and project managers Oversee projects and perform technical report reviews, prepare proposals and management of the departments and group related P&L Exhibit responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation Ability to independently solve day-to-day problems on projects with limited direction or involvement from executive staff Review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports Interact, train, and mentor junior staff members (both as a technical resource and supervisor) Participate/lead business development initiatives within the operating group(s) Assist with recruiting and maintaining an adequate staff level in your group Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field required; B.Arch or M.Arch accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET-accredited college/university preferred 8+ years of relevant due diligence/building facilities consulting experience required Experience with Property/Facility Condition Assessments and Facility Needs Assessments required Registered Architect or Professional Engineer licensure is a plus About Us ECS is currently ranked #66 in Engineering News-Record's Top 500 Design Firms (April 2025), #144 in Engineering News-Record's Top 200 Environmental Firms (October 2024) and #50 in Zweig Group's Hot Firm List (June 2025).
