The Department of Linguistics is seeking one or more adjunct lecturer(s) to teach asynchronous online graduate-level courses, through the Arizona Online campus, Human Language Technology (HLT) program.

Duties & Responsibilities

Teach one or more asynchronous online graduate-level courses. The courses are full 3-unit courses taught as 7-week intensive courses through the Arizona Online campus, for the industry-oriented professional M.S. in Human Language Technologies program, (HLT).

Additional students may enroll through the UA Main Campus. Most course materials are prepared ahead of time, so teaching includes developing any additional materials needed, grading, monitoring students' progress, holding office hours, providing guidance to students, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • M.A. or M.S. in Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field.
