Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Unit Administrator/ Specialist Casual for the School of Social Work.

Key duties for this position are as follows:

  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with behavioral health organizations to collaborate with them for LISTA practicum placements.
  • Ensure completion and updates of agency affiliation agreements.
  • Facilitate coordination of all items on the LISTA annual schedule including but not limited to: student community building events, Hispanic Heritage month events, scholarship related activities and events, promotional plan, etc.
  • Revise and refresh the alumni and agency databases monthly with new contact information and maintain both up to date.
  • Coordinate itinerary and logistics for student, alumni, and related LISTA events.
  • Support students throughout their scholarship projects up through their presentations. Coordinate scholarship presentation process.
  • Support all elements of LISTA Links mentoring program.
  • Create content and coordinate with others for the development of promotional materials, social media posts, and student/alumni interviews.
  • Support outreach for program marketing.
  • Conduct LISTA presentations to appropriate nonprofit agencies, colleges, and other pipeline audiences.
  • Assist in outreach efforts and the coordination of the itinerary for the Puerto Rico study abroad program.
  • Aid in grant research and development.
  • Conduct literature reviews as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

FLSA Nonexempt
Salary Details $33 - $35/hourly

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience in an administrative function, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to speak and write in the Spanish language.
  • Comprehensive understanding and familiarity with culturally congruent social services within Latino/a/x communities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Technological skills for effective use of Data Warehouse, Qualtrics, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suites.
  • Strong aptitude for effective time management.
  • Capacity for analysis, planning, and problem-solving.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work.
