JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Provides support and stabilization services to clients on crisis residential unit. Provides peer and crisis support services, information, education and support for clients. Promotes wellness, recovery and skill building to sustain better health through prevention training for managing stress and problems, making healthy life style choices, recognizing and responding to relapse, managing crisis and achieving, and sustaining recovery. Assists clients with personal recovery goals, helps clients develop natural support systems, and coaches clients to advocate for themselves within their healthcare systems. Implements evidence-informed wellness interventions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS Education Level Candidate must be 21 years of age per funding requirements. Must meet Mental Health Professional Status based on Section 140. Bachelor's Degree in human services related field preferred. Education/experience equivilancy may be considered upon approval. Years of Experience Two years relevant experience in human services; as well as experience participating in their own personal recovery process in order to care for self or family member.
