Information System Specialist, Intermediate University Registrar Salary of $48,000 with benefits! The University Registrar Department is seeking (1) Information Systems Specialist, Intermediate to join the already awesome team taking the University Registrar Department to the next level of excellence! This position is essential to understanding the need of the Lawful Presence coding and SAVE needs for the University. They will also aid in the development and support the needs of the Associate Registrar for DQ & Management. The proposed hiring range was determined through the assessment of similar job titles and roles at the University for this title. The required skills and experience necessary for this position are more aligned with this pay grade and salary range. The scope of responsibility will include these specific duties but is not limited to: * Ensure compliance and understanding of Lawful Presence, SAVE and Residency for all units involved with these functions at the University. Specifically process SAVE for non F1/J1 students as needed. Plan, develop, implement, maintain, and improve various imports using all available resources. Coordinate and track resolutions to system issues by contacting appropriate staff members (DBA's, functional leads, and system administrators). Point of contact for internal customers regarding issues related to these data compliance areas. Direct and provide reports to coworkers to correct errors. *Provide and maintain reports for university customers. Develop reports using various reporting tools to create reports for customer needs. Update reports as requested by customers. Evaluates end-user requests for new or modified computer reports. Converts project specifications into logical computer codes or processes to databases. Performs routine to complex data analysis and data reporting with various programming tools, such as ARGOS. Structured Query Language (SQL)/Procedural Language Structured Query Language (PL SQL). Assist managers effectively utilizing data from reports. Reviews, updates, and edits reports and data extracts. Tests, documents, and perform quality assurance on generated reports. *Coordinate quality assurance measures by creating a systematic method of checking documents for quality and accuracy of completion for these frequently audited and tracked processes. Evaluates end-user requests for new or modified computer reports. Generate and disperse quality assurance reports. Successful candidates will possess the following attributes: * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Exceptional teamwork collaboration, critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. * Exceptional organizational and time management skills. * Exceptional attention to detail. * Ability to create reports and dashboards, using SQL queries or web-based reporting tools, to monitor productivity, accuracy, and trends. * Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications. * Self-starter and adaptive learner with a continual desire and capability to learn. * Experience working in a high-energy and fast-growing workplace. * Knowledgeable of university policies and procedures and the Family Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA). * Preference may be given to candidates who are familiar with Georgia State University and possess experience with Lawful Presence coding and SAVE needs for the University.
