Summary
Responsible for providing leadership, technical expertise, and coordination within the echocardiography department. This role involves performing complex echocardiography procedures, supervising technologists, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provide leadership and guidance to echocardiography technologists, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. -Perform a wide range of echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and 3D echocardiography. -Ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation, utilizing advanced techniques as necessary. -Review and analyze echocardiogram images for technical quality and adherence to standards. -Prepare and position patients for echocardiography procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. -Oversee the maintenance and calibration of echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal functionality and image quality. -Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases, provide technical insights, and assist with image interpretation. -Maintain accurate and detailed records of echocardiography procedures, patient information, and findings.
