The central focus of this position is to provide direct assistance to the Investment Officers and their clients, ensuring adherence to securities regulations and safe, sound banking practices. This role supports the Investment Services Department by performing trading and administrative functions, including preparing client documentation, assisting with account setup and updates, and coordinating sales materials and periodic reviews. The position requires regular, reliable attendance and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional client service.

Essential Functions



  • Accept buy and sell orders from current customers.
  • Assist the Investment Officer when opening new customer accounts, assuring that all required information and documentation are provided and that the file is complete.
  • Compliance. Includes attaining a working knowledge of sales policies and procedures to ensure that business practices comply with securities regulations and safe, sound banking practices.
  • Product Knowledge and Suitability. Includes attaining a strong working knowledge of deposit and non-deposit products to facilitate trading and sales support activities. This will be achieved through on-going continuing education, required regulatory and compliance training.
  • Assist Investment Officers with the preparation of sales presentations and periodic reviews for clients; includes gathering appropriate support documents i.e. prospectuses and approved sales material.
  • Assist Investment Officers with documentation requirements, including transaction posting in client books, attaining proper documentation for any changes to a client's account i.e. settlement instructions for purchases and disbursements; address changes; account updates; and objective changes.
  • Provide back up for other Sales Assistants in all aspects of their positions.


Qualifications



  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Must demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and background in application of current business English; knowledge of investment terminology.
  • Organizational skills, ability to track and follow-up on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, confidentiality.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.


Pay Range: $24.46 - $36.69

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable bonus plan.
