  • Oversee Cisco and some Juniper network environments, including Cisco ASAs and additional security appliances
  • Work closely with the information security team to implement IAM in Azure and best practices for network security
  • Serve as the point of escalation when the MSP cannot handle network-related incidents

Cloud Integration and Automation

  • Lead migration of on-premise systems to AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration and IAM security controls
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies to enhance network performance and security

Collaboration and Vendor Management

  • Work with MSP providers, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Act as the voice of the organization from a network perspective, aligning external vendors with internal objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency

Documentation and Best Practices

  • Maintain structured network documentation and enforce best practices for disaster recovery and compliance
  • Foster an open, knowledge-sharing environment to enhance team collaboration and efficiency

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering/architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior role
  • Deep expertise in Cisco networking, including routers, switches (Catalyst, Nexus), firewalls (ASA, Firepower), and wireless solutions
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and IAM security in Azure
  • Experience integrating networks during M&A activities is a plus
  • Strong security mindset, with knowledge of firewalls, IAM, and compliance standards
  • Ability to coordinate with MSPs and act as the escalation point for complex issues
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable
