Auria is looking to hire a
Senior Systems Engineer to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ON-SITE and is based in
Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, and is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The Interface Engineer will lead the development of
ICDs and
IDDs. This includes establishing new interfaces between external components, such as sensors, and other Command and Control Systems. The engineer will ensure that the ICDs and IDDs meet the program's required standards. Additionally, they are expected to develop various behavioral diagrams to understand and document the requirements. The engineer will create detailed requirements in
DOORS to communicate with the implementation teams clearly. This position will be assigned to the C2BMC Systems Engineering Team within SEIT. The Interface Engineer is a Systems Engineer and may also be called upon to support non-interface systems engineering activities.
Essential Functions:
- Will have significant experience in authoring ICDs and IDDs that are DID-compliant and to DoD Standards
- Must be able to function as part of an experienced team in developing systems engineering products and artifacts while adhering to the program Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and other processes
- Will develop and update multiple Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Documents (IDDs)
- Will attend interface working group meetings with MDA customers and representatives of the assigned external element engineering organization, as well as support program integration and test-related efforts for the associated interface
- May also be assigned to provide support:
- Other interface engineers involved in developing ICDs for additional BMDS Elements
- Support requirements engineering
- Developed Use Cases
- Perform logical architecture modeling tasks as required by the SE department
