 The role of the Paralegal is to work closely with the Vice President, Compliance & Transactions, to provide comprehensive legal and transactional support across corporate governance, real estate closings, compliance initiatives, and administrative functions. This role ensures accurate documentation, organized recordkeeping, and responsive coordination with internal and external stakeholders
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
 
 Non-Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain corporate governance records, including board consents, officer certificates, investment committee minutes, and related legal documentsPrepare, organize, audit, and archive corporate, real estate, investor, and transactional closing files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standardsAssist in the creation and maintenance of deal-specific structure charts and the company's ownership and holdings chartRespond to internal and external inquiries regarding closing documentation and transaction historyEnsure proper handling and confidentiality of sensitive financial and legal informationSupport the Vice President, Compliance & Transactions, with compliance-related initiatives and deliverablesBuild and maintain centralized databases of contracts, corporate records, and legal documentationAssist with transactional processes from due diligence through post-closing, including document coordination and trackingProvide administrative support, including billing, document mailing, filing, and other operational tasks Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements 
 An associate's or bachelor's degree or experience commensurate with the job description required.1-3 years work-related experience.Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant experience, including prior Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or legal administrative experience in corporate governance and/or other relevant transactional, corporate, and/or compliance matters.Strong computer skills needed in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience in technology that supports legal and compliance functions is a plus.
