Summary
Responsible for leading and instructing group fitness classes. This role involves designing and delivering engaging fitness programs tailored to the needs of the clients and community members. The Instructor will work closely with the wellness team to promote physical fitness and overall well-being.

Essential Functions
-Plan and lead group fitness classes, including but not limited to aerobics, strength training, yoga, or other exercise modalities.

-Provide clear and effective instruction, ensuring exercises are performed correctly and safely.

-Develop and implement fitness programs tailored to various fitness levels and health conditions.

-Adapt exercises and class content based on the specific needs and goals of participants.

-Create a positive and motivating class environment to encourage participant engagement and adherence.

-Offer modifications and alternatives to accommodate participants with different fitness levels or physical limitations.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Other Certificate/Diploma Personal Trainer preferred

Licenses and Credentials
HeartSaver CPR AED - American Heart Association (AHA) required within 30 days of hire. Group Fitness Instructor Certification [ACE] - American Council on Exercise (ACE) preferred

Experience
Experience instructing group fitness classes 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of fitness techniques and principles.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Ability to adapt exercises for various populations, including individuals with specific health conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
