You may be eligible to participate in SkillBridge if you: Have 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and you have at least 180 continuous days of active Military service. Obtain approval from your unit commander. Agree that participation in the DOD SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the service if mission requirements dictate. Education and Experience Requirements SkillBridge Aircraft Maintenance Tech I- 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Valid Driver's License required. SkillBridge Aircraft Maintenance Tech II- 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required. SkillBridge Aircraft Maintenance Tech III- 3 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Valid Driver's License required.
Position Purpose:
Under close supervision, perform or assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties. Job Description
