Job Description




As a Security Officer - Front Desk Patrol in Dayton, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment, as you monitor access and support daily operations. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and guests at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering and exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters and incidents.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity through attentive observation and adherence to access control protocols.
  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuation procedures when appropriate, in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
