Our client is seeking a Localization Project Manager to support the localization process for content and videos such as but not limited to Retail Communication, Training and Marketing. This role focuses on organizing workflows, tracking progress for localization projects and ensuring quality for subtitles, captions, translations, motion graphics, and accessibility deliverables. The Localization Project Manager will partner closely with producers, linguists, motion designers, publishing teams, and external vendors to manage smooth workflows and on-time deliveries. This role thrives in a highly cross-functional environment and requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and flexibility with evolving project needs.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage end to end video localization workflow from transcription and translation through to final QA and delivery.
  • Track project timelines, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with publishing teams to confirm technical requirements for internal platforms.
  • Prepare detailed briefs for linguists and agency partners, ensuring all business context and references are clear.
  • Review and verify English transcripts for accuracy (spelling, punctuation, terminology).
  • Collect and track feedback from linguists, editors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure localized videos follow established style guides, accessibility standards, and formatting requirements.
  • Troubleshoot basic video issues, including compressing, formatting, and file delivery needs.
  • Maintain multimedia libraries, ensuring localized video assets are organized and up to date.
  • Keep process documentation current with evolving workflows and requirements.
  • Create projects in TMS and manage work through all stages of the localization workflow including translation, validation and in-context review.
  • Evaluate priority and project scope while communicating schedules and setting expectations with the business owners.
  • Work with Producers, Business Owners and Editors to resolve content and translation queries or bugs.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Experience managing video localization projects.
  • Familiarity with subtitling, captions, transcription, and related video localization processes.
  • Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or Final Cut.
  • Hands-on experience with translation tools and workflows, including translation memory, glossaries, and termbases.
  • Familiar with TMS, project management tools, and bug ticketing systems.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities across time zones.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in project direction and priorities.
  • Must be comfortable working through ambiguity and in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Creative and analytical thinking, a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Must exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability and ability to develop strategies to ensure project success.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Additional language skills beyond English are a plus.


Education & Experience



  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager within the localization industry, creative agency, or related media environment.
  • BA in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or related field preferred.
