Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager leads all plant maintenance activities-including mechanical, electrical, facility, and equipment systems-to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all assets. This role drives world-class uptime and equipment reliability through effective planning, leadership, and coordination with other departments.

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide strong leadership to the maintenance and electrical teams, ensuring clear goals, accountability, and professional development.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing company policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and project timelines, ensuring completion within scope, budget, and deadlines.
  • Partner with production, engineering, and corporate teams to support installation, troubleshooting, and improvement of equipment and systems.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics, analyze root causes of downtime, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations affecting maintenance operations.
  • Serve as the key liaison with vendors, contractors, and engineering partners for capital projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Provide 24/7 leadership coverage as needed, including on-call support.


Leadership Responsibilities



  • Directly supervise maintenance and electrical foremen, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and develop team members to meet department and plant goals.
  • Effectively manage performance, resolve issues, and ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Model integrity, accountability, and teamwork in all interactions.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering-or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading maintenance teams in a high-speed, continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and personnel effectively.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements



  • Work occurs in office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments with exposure to hot/cold conditions, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
  • May require off-shift and weekend work based on operational needs.
