Job Description

The Regulatory Compliance Consultant would be responsible for the creation, maintenance and implementation of personal lines policy forms as well as the tracking and review of regulatory changes that impact personal lines products. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and perform analysis on policy language, regulatory changes, competitor products, market needs, and emerging issues, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Develop and maintain policy forms, policyholder notices, and other communications, as well as forms requirements, for discretionary and compliance projects and manage timelines for research, development, filing and implementation

  • Work closely with product management, claims, underwriting, IT and other areas in the creation of product portfolios

  • Prepare forms filings in accordance with state requirements and respond to DOI objections as well as participate in DOI meetings

  • Identify and track regulatory changes at the state and federal level and notify key stakeholders to ensure compliance with new/existing laws, regulations, and DOI communications.

Experience
  • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

  • Legal background a plus

  • 4+ years of property and casualty insurance industry experience

  • Knowledge of standard personal lines programs of insurance

  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $63,000-$85,000/ annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role
