OverviewWe are part of the Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization, focused on keeping customers protected and productive through reliable, high-quality Windows updates.Our team owns the end-to-end servicing workflow - from build start, package creation, validation to delivery. We build core services and automation that power Windows packaging at scale, ensuring consistency, quality, and reliability in every release.We're looking for a Software Engineer II passionate about distributed systems, automation, and service reliability. You'll design and develop scalable services that simplify and strengthen our servicing pipeline reducing manual steps, improving efficiency, and accelerating delivery.You'll also participate in our Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) rotation, ensuring high availability and driving continuous improvements in performance and reliability.If you're excited about building critical infrastructure that powers how Windows ships to billions of devices, and enjoy solving complex technical challenges with measurable customer impact, we'd love to hear from you. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable, distributed services.Build automation and streamline packaging processes, reduce manual steps, and improve efficiency across the servicing pipeline.Operate and maintain core services ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.Participate in the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) rotation to support service health and drive continuous improvements.Collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that accelerate Windows delivery and enhance customer experience.Embody the Microsoft culture and values. | |
