The Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) provides a comprehensive, statewide array of professional learning opportunities that supports the enhancement of a competent child welfare workforce and well-prepared caregivers capable of positively impacting safety, permanence and well-being outcomes for children and families in the state of Wisconsin. The WCWPDS collaboratively develops and provides asynchronous, synchronous and blended learning opportunities to county, tribal and state child welfare partners. The Office Coordinator works closely with the Training Support and Administration team to fulfill the mission of the WCWPDS and provide support to the assigned delivery units. In this role, you will support the following:


  • Serve as a first point of contact for individuals and groups; provide basic organizational information via email, phone, and in person, and routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
  • Office management: supply ordering, materials printing and shipping, and coordination with property manager and University officials.
  • In-person event support: managing room setup and catering logistics for in-person events, sending out pre-training reminders to attendees, material printing and assembling.
  • Participate in university, partnership, and statewide work teams and committees as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by WCWPDS management.

This position is part-time, 50%

Core required hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this position is $18.36 - $26.25 an hour depending on qualifications and experience. Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays and paid time off; competitive insurance and saving accounts; and retirement benefits.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of office experience providing customer service
  • Experience and proficiency with common office productivity and communication resources (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
