The Shop Floor Dispatcher orders, delivers, moved and places materials within the plant as scheduled. Sorts and distributes bill of materials and drawings. Responsible for revisions, corrections, deletions and additions to work bill and drawings. Detects critical needs, advises planners and supervisors. Insures accurate computer inventory records of material usage. 
         
         
          
           
            PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  | 
            
          
          
         
         
          - Safety: Uphold all safety protocols and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
 - 5S: Maintain clean, organized work areas
 - Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both verbal and written.
 - Able to request, locate, move and deliver needed parts
 - Able to retrieve consumables, shop supplies and kanban items
 - Understands part shortage and can address or fulfill
 - Able to update area's schedules and utilize schedule in order to prep parts
 - Knowledgeable and able to use associated SAP functions
 - Train new operators
 - Distributes bills of material to proper work centers
 - Processes engineering change orders, non-conformance reports and defective material reports
 - Update schedules, and expedites short parts as required
 - Informs planner/supervisor of variances, needs and opportunities
 - Reports on material usage, audits the exception reports
 - Verifies completeness of assemblies and routes to next user
 - Maintains queue areas, buffers and monitors work in process as it pertains to the manufacturing scheme

          - Operate forklifts, hand trucks and other powered industrial vehicles as required
 - Proficiency with hand tools

 - All materials and components used throughout the plant. Paper insulation, steel, conductors, bushings, arrestors, sheet steel, cabinets, nuts, bolts and other items
 - Transports materials to departments and between departments
 - Must have a good working knowledge of plant layout and product flow to perform efficiently.
 
          
         
         
         Required: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Prior experience in heavy mechanical or electrical assembly, manufacturing, or power equipment
