General Summary of Position This entry level position has been created specifically for nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing and have a valid CNA license. Job Summary: This is a great opportunity to diversify and solidify your clinical skills as you prepare for the next step in your career path as a Student Nurse Extern during your senior year of nursing school. Availablestart dates: December 1st, 15th, or January 5th The first week of orientation does require attendance Monday through Friday, which must be completed in order to fully participate in this role. RequiredCommitment:During the winter break, you must be able to commit to working at least two shifts per week (after completion of orientation) in order to fully complete the require competencies of the role. Once classes resume for the spring semester, a commitment to working two (12-hour) shifts per six-week schedule will be required. **This is not a "temporary seasonal" position. The intent is for this role to continue to complement your education. Hours: 12-hour shifts / Flexible scheduling to fit your school schedule Pay:$18.77 per hour Education/Training:Active enrollment as a nursing student in an accredited nursing program; Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing (or the equivalent) in an accredited nursing program; Official transcripts will be required at time of hire and at the end of each semester to validate activeenrollment. License/Certification:CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing is required at time of application;BLS(CPR for Healthcare Providers)certification.
